So this has just arrived in the mail! It's Sweater Surgery by Stephanie Girard. I won this book from Cut Out + Keep for my T-shirt Romper. I'm very excited to start trying some of the projects in the book! All of the projects utilize the recycling and revitalization of old sweaters. There are some cool bags and dresses and even a few stuffed animals! Expect a review of this book once I get a chance to dive in!

A trip to the Garment District (Remember: It's a STORE not an actual district!) with a dear friend of mine this thursday will give me the opportunity to pick up some sweaters and other clothing which needs to be recycled. One persons trash is this girl's treasure! I will be sure to share my creations with you!
I also recieved this book from my brother for christmas this year. I've done a few of the projects from it (specifically the denim ballgown skirt. Love it!) but I havent had a chance to make as many creations as I was hoping, so my second goal after I purchase some sweaters is to buy some ties and try out the tie skirt (among the many other awesome creations in AlterNation by Shannon Okey and Alexander Underhill!). I hope a review will be coming for this book as well!
