I'm sure many of you have seen this before. It's super easy and a great activity to do with kids! I appologize for the really crappy picture! Alas, the problem with using a phone!
Step 1:
Grab a large pack of crayons (like 64ct. pack). I ended up using four 16ct. packs of crayola as they where on sale and I wanted to repeat a majority of the colors. What really matters is that you have a ton of crayons at your disposal. The amount really depends on the canvas size. Speaking of canvas - it doesn't need to be anything special. I got mine at Michaels. Grab your crayons and a hot-glue gun and line them at the top in what ever color variation you want!
Step 2:
Arrange a workspace similiar to the one in the image. Find something to prop the canvas up against (I used a really small doll's bench... I'm not really sure why we had that in the house) and grab a blow dryer. I know that some other how-to's I've seen for these projects have advised against the blow-dryer because it can cause a splatter effect and that a heat gun is preferred, but frankly, the blow-dryer was all I had! Ultimately I think the blow-dryer worked well, I liked the way it pushed the wax and I could control (slightly) the direction the stream was going. Also, the splattering on the floor was not a big deal at all because, being wax I just ran my finger nail under it and it came right up. Another reason I love this project: EASY CLEAN UP!
