Those Who Inspire Me.
Lady Gaga
Why? Because she's made fashion and costuming an essential element of music and entertainment. Because she is always suprising us. Because her rediculous outfits make me feel comfortable dressing how I want to dress. And Because her eccentricity inspires my creativity. Love her or hate her, you must admit that her look is to DIY for.

Scarlet O'Hara
Why? Because she represented strong femininity. Because she wasn't afraid to say what she needed to, to get what she wanted. Because she makes petticoats and floor length gowns tres chic. She is the original DIY-er; who has the audacity to rip down their mother's finest curtains and make a green velvelt dream. Let's raise a mint julip to Miss O'Hara and her fearless fashion sense! Now... where can I find that dress she wore to Melie's party?
Cher
Why? Well without this fine "Lady" the aforementioned (along with almost every female artists of today) would not be able to express themselves and their sexuality; she paved the way for them. Because she's had a close and inspired relationship with the astounding Bob Mackie. Because she is one of the first women to display her belly button on cable television and consistantly drove the censors crazy. Because she is the original DIVA
Alice in Wonderland
Why? Beacause with an animated decks of cards, twisted tea-parties, babies who turn into pigs, and size-changing cakes, who wouldn't find inspiration in such a lovely tale. Because Alice takes the most wonderful adventure that any little girl (or grown girl) could wish for. Because Alice is such an iconic figure of childhood, curiousness, and imagination. Because we all wish we could own a cheshire cat. Being inspired by Alice means finding a pashion in the unique, the quirky, the youthful, and the imaginative. Thank you Lewis Carroll for creating such an inspirational, iconic, and beloved masterpiece!
Jim Henson
Why? Because he practically is the creative force behind our childhoods; Sesame Street, The Muppets, Fraggle Rock! Because he knew that puppets weren't just for kids. Because he kept pushing the buttons of what a puppet could be, by inventing his own breed. Because Miss Piggy is the epitome of a D-I-V-A. Because his beautiful stories, delightful characters, and awe inspiring creatures are what dreams are made of. Because we all love Kermit. And because, who knows, maybe someday we'll find, the rainbow connection, the lovers, the dreamers, and me. Thank you, Jim Henson, for always keeping my imagination churning!
